A cracked foundation wall lets water in every time it rains, and it does not fix itself — cracks only get longer and wider with each freeze-thaw cycle. Injection repair fills the crack through its full depth, from the inside, in a few hours: no digging up the yard, no removing the deck, no landscaping bill afterwards.
We use two systems depending on what the crack is doing. Polyurethane injection expands into a flexible, watertight seal — the right choice for leaking cracks that see seasonal movement. Epoxy injection cures rigid and structurally welds the concrete back together — the right choice for cracks that need strength restored. We diagnose first, inject second, and we will tell you plainly when a crack points to a bigger problem that injection alone cannot solve.

Epoxy or polyurethane — which one does my crack need?
Polyurethane for leaking, non-structural cracks: it expands to fill voids and stays flexible, so seasonal hairline movement does not re-open the seal. Epoxy for cracks where the wall needs its strength back: it cures harder than the surrounding concrete and structurally bonds both faces. We choose after inspecting the crack — width, moisture, displacement — not from a price sheet.

Is crack injection permanent?
On a stable wall, yes — the resin fills the full depth of the crack and does not shrink, wash out, or age like surface patches do. What injection cannot do is hold together a wall that is still moving. If we find active settlement or bowing, we tell you before we inject, not after the seal re-opens.

Can it be done in winter?
Yes. Injection is done from the inside of the basement, so the work is year-round — winter is actually when most leaks reveal themselves. A typical single crack takes two to four hours and the area is usable the same day.

When is injection NOT enough?
Cracks wider than about half an inch with displacement, horizontal cracks with bowing, block (CMU) foundations where water travels through the cores, or chronic hydrostatic pressure across the whole wall. Those need structural reinforcement or exterior waterproofing — both of which we also do, so the honest answer costs you nothing.
